Combined Heat and Power
(CHP) Plants
Biomass, wood, RDF and agricultural waste can be used for power generation as well as process heat in combined heat and power plants (CHP plants). Thermal Process Development and Kablitz have experience in CHP plants with multiple types of fuel and with varying moisture contents. The Kablitz reciprocating grate has a very flexible design to allow for changes in fuel size and moisture. Both Air-cooled and water-cooled designs are possible. The grate bars on the reciprocating grate are produced in the Kablitz foundry allowing for top quality control and are designed for the longest life with high chrome and high strength. Grates are suitable for fuels with low or high calorific values.
