Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Combustion Plants
Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) or other waste fuel streams can be combusted on the reciprocating step grate for power generation or combusted using the hot flue gas for process heat. Thermal Process Development can design a system to take advantage of waste fuel streams using the Kablitz reciprocating grate. The plants can include fuel storage, conveyors, fuel feeders, boilers, thermal oil heaters, hot water generators, or emission abatement equipment. Both air-cooled and water-cooled reciprocating grate designs are available depending on the fuel type and moisture contents of the fuel. Our grate bars are only produced in the Kablitz foundry, so that we can regulate quality control. Kablitz grate bars are designed for the longest possible life with high chrome and high strength to handle higher furnace temperatures.
