Reciprocating Grates
Thermal Process Development and Kablitz specialize in biomass fuel combustion with reciprocating grates. The reciprocating grates can be designed for use with low or high moisture content fuels. Solid fuels include biomass, wood, bark, corn stover, agricultural fuels, walnut shells, peanut shells, wood pellets and other fuels with heat content. The Kablitz reciprocating grate has a very flexible design to allow for changes in fuel size and moisture. Both air-cooled and water-cooled grate designs are possible as well to help with fuel conditions. The grate bars can also be modified depending on the fuel and are designed and fabricated in house in the Kablitz foundry. Controlling all parts of grate bar fabrication allows for top quality and longer life than competitor grate bars.
